The consultation paper 'Supporting Growth with Digital Finance' covered a wide range of digital finance policy areas.

In May 2026, the Commission published a feedback paper and updated sections of the Handbook on Countering Financial Crime (AML/CFT/CPF) to further support the use of technology to combat
financial crime. You can read more about these developments here: The Commission paves the way for smarter use of technology in compliance — GFSC

In July 2026, the Commission published its feedback paper and a guidance note on the tokenisation of assets following consultation on Supporting Growth with Digital Finance. You can read more about this here: Digital Finance – Commission takes steps to simplify regulation, provide regulatory clarity and support growth in digital finance — GFSC

The Commission is progressing plans to develop a proportionate regulatory framework for stablecoins, reflecting strong industry support for a clear and credible approach in this area. We plan to issue stablecoin feedback and rules during Autumn 2026.
