The Guernsey Financial Services Commission’s Digital Forum is an initiative for industry engagement which invites stakeholders to shape the future of digital finance through roundtables, workshops and consultations.
This roundtable will explore the role of stablecoins within the evolving digital finance landscape including questions of yield, reward and structural design. Building on feedback received through the Commission’s stablecoin consultation and earlier Digital Forum discussions, the session will consider issues such as the economic and regulatory implications of different stablecoin models, including fiat-backed and commodity-backed stablecoins, whether and how yield-bearing structures might operate and how these models interact with existing financial and regulatory frameworks.
The Commission would like to invite representatives of the Bailiwick’s financial services sector and other stakeholders with expertise or interest in this topic to participate in the in-person roundtable meeting.
